Component Shelf for Jira: End User Terms
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Component Shelf for Jira app (“the app”), published by Joe Simo (“we”). They sit alongside the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use, which govern purchasing and billing.
- License. While your site has an active subscription or free license through the Atlassian Marketplace, you may use the app on that site. Billing, trials, renewals and refunds are handled by Atlassian under the Atlassian Marketplace Terms.
- Emulated archive. Jira Cloud has no native archive for components. The app archives a component by renaming it or by removing it from Jira after saving what it needs to restore it, as described in the documentation. A restored component that was removed gets a new ID in Jira, so saved filters that referred to the old one may need updating.
- Your responsibility. The app changes components and the components on issues when a project admin tells it to. Admins should use the dry run and merge preview before making changes. Undo is available for 30 days after a copy, and archive shelf entries can be restored until they are forgotten.
- No warranty. The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
- Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of data.
- Data. The Privacy Policy explains how data is handled. The app runs only on Atlassian’s infrastructure.
- Changes and ending. We may update the app and these terms. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
