Component Shelf for Jira
Archive, restore, copy and merge Jira components, with preview and undo.
Jira Cloud has no archive switch for project components (JRACLOUD-10507) and no way to copy them to other projects (JRACLOUD-8081). Component Shelf adds a page to Project settings where project admins can:
- Archive and restore components. Rename a component to “[Archived] Name”, or remove it from Jira while the app keeps its fields and the list of issues that had it. Restore it with one click. (This is an emulated archive, because Jira Cloud has no native one.)
- Copy components to many projects. Dry run first, skip or update on name clashes, undo afterwards.
- Merge duplicates. Move every issue from one component to another, archive the old one, undo it all later.
- Export to CSV. Every component, its lead, default assignee, issue count and archive status.
